Overview

The 2019 Coach David Evans ELITE Boys Basketball Camp provides athletes ages 10-18 with a structured basketball learning experience that encourages team participation and personal development.

Under the direction of Head Coach David Evans, this year’s ELITE Boys Basketball Camp will focus on improving campers’ skills while emphasizing offense, defense, shooting and game fundamentals. Location for all events is on the Wasatch Academy campus. Both US and international campers will be attending.

The program will feature guest instructors who are top NBA and international professional players including George Hill, Frank Jackson and Eric Mika, along with our consensus Top 10 nationally-ranked Wasatch Academy Basketball team and coaching staff. More special guests to be announced soon!

Check-in?
Onsite check-in is Sunday between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm for both Overnighters and Commuters. Orientation and dinner follows.

Do you have a basketball camp that girls can attend?
Girls can attend the Breakthrough Basketball Camp at Wasatch Academy held August 5-9, 2019. Details can be found by clicking here.

When do I receive the camp itinerary?
Itineraries are sent out to Campers during the first week of June.

How far is the Salt Lake City airport from Wasatch Academy?
Wasatch Academy is located in the small town of Mt. Pleasant Utah. Our campus is 104 miles from the SLC international airport. It is approximately a 1hr 45-minute drive.

What about Salt Lake City airport transportation to/from Wasatch Academy?
We provide roundtrip airport transfers for a $100 fee. The approximate 1hr 45-minute drive is provided on Sunday, June 16th and Thursday, June 20th. After adding this service during your online registration process, our staff will contact you for your flight information two-weeks prior to camp.

What are the dorms like?
Dorm parents are available during the summer camps to chaperone and assist campers. Each dorm room has 2 beds and 2 desks. Bottom sheets are provided on beds. Bring your own sleeping bags or blankets and pillow. A key card will be assigned to each camper that only opens their dorm building and dorm room. All dorm buildings have a lounge area and kitchen. WiFi is also available.

What are Wasatch Academy's policies?
Wasatch Academy is a drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free campus. Our dress code does not allow any offensive or illegal images. The dress and grooming of our students must always be appropriate, neat, and clean, consistent with Wasatch Academy values.

Is there a curfew?
Yes. At 10:00 pm all summer campers must be in dorms.

Is there medical support on campus?
Yes. Wasatch Academy has a wellness center with nurses and an Athletic Trainer on campus or on call. The Sanpete Valley Hospital and Clinic are only a few blocks from campus. All Wasatch Academy faculty and staff are CPR certified as well.

Are food specific needs accommodated?
Yes. You make accommodations for dietary needs and food allergies during the online registration process.

Who from the Wasatch Academy boys Varsity basketball team will be at the camp?
The entire 2019-20 team will be assisting Head Coach David Evans during the camp.
